Yesterday, I had one sake order with a comment of warping service request for friend’s birthday. Obviously the customer couldn’t figure out how to make a order for gift wrapping.. I feel sorry for it.
So let me go through the steps again for
GIFT WRAPPING SERVICE
1: After you pick up the sake, you can press
ADD TO SHOPPING CART, then it will lead you to
SHOPPING CART PAGE automatically.
2: Choose gift wrapping for male or female at SHOPPING CART PAGE by adding the number you want to purchase into the boxes in a middle of page and press
CHANGE to confirm it.
3: Also you can add
Delivery Address so you can choose the alternative addresses.
4: Then press
Go To Checkout and make sure the items, numbers and delivery addresses are all collect. You can also leave the message for
message card at this page
5: Press
Continue Check Out then you will be asked to input your payment detail..

Since early Jan, I have Special Sake Cocktail menu at Maedaya, offering 12 new sake cocktail every week and 6 of them are changed every week.
For me, making a new cocktail is fun thing. Sometimes it’s very simple to turn classic cocktails such as Bloody Mary or Martini into sake cocktail by using my imagination. Also naming sake cocktail is another fun thing. Here I have picked up one of my new sake cocktail called ABAREUMA.
ABAREUMA is a sake based cocktail mixed with vodka, ginger beer & lime. If you remember the classic cocktail called Moscow Mule, you might get this idea. Moscow Mule is vodka based cocktail mixed with Ginger Ale & lime juice meaning “Moscow’s donkey”. Instead of Russian vodka, I add Japanese sake. Instead of ginger ale, I add ginger beer. Now I name this sake cocktail ABAREUMA meaning “Crazy Horse” in Japanese... It might be too simple but once you taste it, it doesn't really matter ! Nice and refreshing in hot summer days and it’s so easy to drink.

Valentine’s Day Kiss
This coming Sat 14 Feb is a special day for the lovers known as St Valentine’s Day. In Japan, it is the day for female to give a chocolate to a male as a statement of LOVE, but here in Australia, it’s more likely a day for male to treat female with extra love.
At Maedaya, I will make a special sake cocktail to make your day even more special. It’s called “Valentine’s Day Kiss”. (If you were living in Japan late 80’s, you know what I picked up a name from.) It’s a strawberry flavoured Shochu spirit on the rocks garnished with Japanese cherries. It’s sweet & tasty and you can share one glass between two of you nicely.
To taste this special cocktail, there is one thing you need to do. At 7:15pm & 9:30pm, Maedaya both floors,we will have Cheek to Cheek Time. You just have to show us how much you love each other by kissing on your cheeks. Don’t be shy and just do as you feel.
It’s a special dinner with your special person & having a special cocktail to share.
