Bessen Horaisen is dry & smooth Honjozo with a good amount of sweetness behind. Fragrance is a strong for Honjozo which is, you could easily guess, coming from its high rated rice polishing. (Usually, rice polishing rate of Honjozo is 70%) The color is clean and impact of first sip is strong enough. There is a nice amount of acidity in aftertaste and you can easily match this sake with seafood dishes such as crab hot pot, soft shell crab and sake steamed mussel. Once you warm it up, even more of acidity is pulled up. Good sake during a meal throughout a year.
